On the dark blue background of the icon, Jesus Christ, surrounded by a mandala painted in shades of ochre, rises from the grave, incarnated in the composition by a sealed sarcophagus. Jesus holds a standard in his left hand, ending in a cross (symbol of victory), and with the right he blesses. At the bottom of the composition are depicted the soldiers: two soldiers, witnesses to the Resurrection of the Lord, surprised and frightened, raise their swords for defense, while two other soldiers, armed with swords, continue to sleep. Note the influence of Western painting on local painting, visible in the presentation of the scene of the Lord's Resurrection in the Catholic version (different from the Orthodox one presented in the form of the Descent into Hell). Also noteworthy is the presence of elements of the costume of the soldiers guarding Jesus' tomb, which are similar to the contemporary soldiers of the painter. On the bottom, there is a white inscription: "this holy icon was paid for by Deacon Iuga". In the field of the icon, in brown, is passed the year of the icon's painting: "1780" (A.D.).
