Identifying elements of an iconographic and stylistic order: The Holy Prophet Zephaniah is depicted up to the waist against the golden background of the icon, oriented to the left. With both hands he holds a phylactery that contains his prophecy related to the Theotokos quality of the Virgin Mary. He is dressed in a blue chiton and a red-ocher himation. The face model is made in shades of brown, and the hair and beard are presented through fine, thin strands, painted in brown. Technical identifying elements: The wooden support of the icon is finished on the upper side in the form of a brace and on the verso, it has two lateral cross-pieces.
