Research information

The opera was part of the exhibition "Inside/ Ouside", Bucharest, 2020.

Raimund Vernica, known under the pseudonym RAID, is one of the emerging artists who filter contemporary reality using a novel and captivating vision. His works illustrate stories about the city in which we live, about its inhabitants, about the persons with whom we interact, about self. All characters are born from a simple line: enigmatic, obsessive, alone, but deeply humane. As he declared, RAID is interesting in highlighting the basic human emotions tragedy, joy, ecstasy, or despair. RAID’s world is a world of the mind, with a visual interface crafted in an extremely meticulous manner. His art ironizes behaviours, beliefs (the conspiracy theories) or false authorities, busting, at the same time, myths of power, by placing them in objectivity.
