Yordan Katsamunski is an author with a very recognizable painting style. He works mainly in the genre of still life, composition and rarely in landscape. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1971. After returning to Bulgaria, he actively participated in the artistic life with solo exhibitions in Sofia and Pleven. There is a strong kinship and stylistic connection between Yordan Katsamunski and Svetlin Rusev. The unifying line between them is mainly in terms of the monochrome range, the large format and the overall construction of the aerial environment in the canvas. Characteristic elements in his compositions are female images, vases with flowers and trees.
