As an unfailing cultivator of the visible world, to whom he would provide an inner visionary integrity, the artist Ștefan Dimitrescu assimilated and internalized reality as a creative potential. Concerned with the technique of drawing and colouring, his painting becomes a true study, issue that can be noticed from his first exhibitions. In the genres he approaches - portraits, social compositions, genre scenes or landscapes - the artist shall always seek the inner truth. As far as the village landscape is concerned, the artist would prove an emulous desire to know his home country, traveling multiple times to the lands of Moldova, in the hot lands of Dobrogea, in the lands of Olt or Făgăraș, from where he would collect authentic visions of the Romanian space.
