Descriere

With a daring selection that brings together three generations of artists, the auction on January 30th puts art lovers face to face with contemporary aesthetic and philosophical challenges. There are artists who undermined the political regime before 1989 through their creations, who chose imagery as a weapon of truth; there are artists who evolved during the transition from communism to democracy and faced new socio-economic challenges; last but not least, we can find in the selection artists from Generation Z, concerned with today's major agenda topics (ecology, gender identity, technology), but who also seek to define their own artistic identity. In this chronological journey, we observe a linear thread that transforms art into a tool for political, social, and cultural activism.
