Descriere

History is not confined exclusively to history books or specialised literature. A map, a medal, a badge, a rare photograph or a weapon can still bear the traces of the past, along with numerous stories never told, the kind of stories which accompany objects such as Alexandru Ioan Cuza's hunting rifle bearing his princely monogram, the exquisite Ottoman sword with the effigy of Sultan Abdulmejid I, the Ottoman yataghan presented to Mustafa Aga, the parade sabre bearing the Royal cipher of King George VI or, why not, the humble general's camp bed from World War II.
