"Terra ultra silvam" or "The Land Beyond the Forest" has over the centuries constituted a unique space of cultural confluence, where civilizations, confessions, and craft traditions have intertwined, generating a heritage of remarkable richness and diversity. This auction offers a systematic journey through this material and spiritual legacy, bringing together over two hundred fifty lots covering a time span of nearly two millennia, including coins, rare books ("Cazanii la oameni morți," edited by loan Zoba from Vinț, printed by Chiriac Moldoveanul, first edition, Alba Iulia, 1689, an absolute rarity), icon paintings on glass from the workshops of Șcheii Brașovului, Nicula, and Gherla, painted Saxon furniture, maps depicting the Transylvanian region from the 16th to 19th centuries, as well as an important series of photographic documents and period ephemera.
